The Pain Doesn't Exist
A frightened child’s search for comfort becomes apparent as she hugs her teddy bear.  The echoes of violence still linger  yet presence of angry retorts no longer there.  The age of seven yet fully aware of the word ‘despair’ and ‘impaired’.   No sibling to run to, No hopes to turn to. She simply sits and waits. Pretending the pain doesn’t exist.

Jenga
leotsukiyo: I Freshly stacked wooden blocks Unmoved by quakes - Stand proudly and complete. Each brick relies upon the other, Cemented - So even the most fragile piece Can keep the structure erect. II We are Jenga towers. Life picks and prods at us - Brick by brick, Removing our stability. Broken walls and holey floors Make the tower feeble, What could not be moved by force Collapses with a...

Untitled Numéro Deux
Move and twist feel your body burn Let the beat encompass the direction you turn Quick and sharp your jabs aren’t strong Pick up the pace Before you’re proved wrong They’ll come again, accusations at hand You know you can take them Soon, no one will contend  What you are,  and what you do. There will be no one left for you to prove  Your worth, and skill The reasons why...

The storm has settled  above my home. Whether it stays or goes I do not know. For if not now it shall soon.  T’ill then I feel it’s best  that I take cover.  From whatever gusting wind plagues my windows and doors.

Stranger Tides
“Oh you’ve found me here it seems, Where moonlights perched upon the seas    And waves crash upon the shores    I’ve gazed out for hours or more; Since the start of the suns retreat.” My visitor with a heavy sigh Did not seem pleased with my reply “I’m a victim to the midnight breeze It makes me tremble in the knees    And fills my lungs with new found care   ...

I'm Dying
leotsukiyo: I’m dying! I’m dying! And not of old age I suffer no illness, No sickness, no plague. I have no disease, No sudden attack I’ve no fractured bones, And no broken back - My spine is quite fine I’ve no virus nor flu I’m dying! I’m dying! What should I do? My minds always thinking And about to explode My hearts always sinking From it’s heavy load The sorrow it’s drinking Goes right to...

Forever For You
You strum the strings of my will, I bend to your needs. For you I choose to live and breathe. Breathless and shaking, regardless of state, Forever for you, here I will stay.  You strum the strings of my heart, it thumps and beats as you please. For you I choose to swim the seas.  Storm and hail, keep no mind to the rain.   Forever for you, I’ll shelter you from all pain.

Cease!
leotsukiyo: Cease! Not from being but from what you be. Are you the construction of your own beliefs? Is your destination based off of traveled streets? Or did you travel roads for goals to reach? Or did you travel paths searching for dreams? Like the moon your eyes share a faint glow The mind is a river that constantly flows Should the light die and the river run dry How will you bountifully...

Brushed aside by secrets Feelings unrevealed Contents of mind confined A mouth securely sealed Selective in one’s speech Words that never slip But slippery as watered soap Or even oil slicks. A twisted verbal tango A mind with such unrest Show distrust and faulty love When all words are dressed, We claim this land a bounty We plant within, the fruit Volcanoes now erupting Cover growth with...

My Love: Leona: At Night I Lay →
myloveleona: The tale of the faithful The distant, the stray A story of twilight At night when I lay I converse with the walls The shadows too lie Right beside me they fall And we rest eye to eye The walls they can whisper They do so quite faint Their lips always shiver Since they’re muffled by paint But…

A Transformation
Foreboding was the word he used To describe his current life A day by day repeat of strain The glimpse of a friend his one delight Work, school, food and rest  The only driving force to him Inspiration towards what comes next Completely lost and foreign   The dullness in his subtle speech The blues have reached heightened hues The luster gone, the floorboard creeks Settings reflecting on his...

Made For Blues
leotsukiyo: I’m no instrument or so I thought The piper played me well A merry tune he searched and sought A tale I cannot tell He hit the notes and made me sing But sounds came out in minor So he dubbed me as a useless thing Replaced me with something finer I cannot sing a song of glee, I cannot hold such tune, I cannot be what is not of me, Since I am made for blues

PointlessEndeavors: The Final Song →
leotsukiyo: Resounding is the gentle voice Within it lies a hidden fear Lying in the depths of tone Tailing up from the sentence rear Sheltered in the little world Perched, the bird will sing A wall fixture; this Nightingale Hums at night the tune of things She hums of life and blooming spring She hums of…

Story Of The Eyes
Story of our lives written in invisible ink This way you can abort should it ever sink If I over analyze or if I over think Or if your aggression drives us to the brink But the eyes reveal the truth behind lies Emotion in the iris always ruins each disguise A falling tear beside a smile does symbolize The internal sorrow that somebody tries to hide

An Inch Too High
The world is in front of me calling my name. Yet when I try to get closer I’m pushed back again. The glimpse of an open door, a familiar face. When studied a little further,  I see it’s merely a mistake.  All I want dangles over head To a string it is tied I leap but just can’t ascend It’s just an inch too high An evil fate has made plans Should I reach so far Dowsed in...

Transitions
The sun is warm, the sky is clear The clouds, they drift then disappear I ride the winds, They turn and steer Until they take me far from here. The night is dark, the moon is bright The stars taken over by cloudy skies The plants weep, starved from sun light I weep for I’m alone tonight. I’ve seen the outcast winter snow, Hated by most; despised and loathed, The hearts of men fill...

Little Things
Abandoned umbrella, You got stuck in the rain. Splashed by a bus, Your new coat is stained. You rush for cover, Under a near by awning: Cursing the weather, And waking this morning. You reach in your pocket, And what did you see? A piece of paper, A note scribbled from me. Your furrowed brows, They’ve gone away. “I Love You” it read, And so did your face.

Coming To An End
So much time has come and gone, His body the canvas of a foes fun.   Shuddering, gasping, strength to find;  Yet no thoughts will grant him peace of mind.  Incapable of movement, his will is lost.  His family too far, distance he can’t cross. Thoughts of love, hope, and support, Seem to be his only form of comfort.   It seems he must continue, his mind is set.  Through the dark haze upon...

Winter's Touch
The summer sun has come and gone, The Autumn leaves fallen, undone. Leaving in it’s place the sharp grace, Of Winter’s endlessly chilling embrace.  The frigid winds turn red many faces Snow falls freely on frozen pavement The sidewalks are barren and vacant The cities turn into white wastelands Impatient to return to his bed A pedestrian refuses to turn his head Missing the...

Ours To Keep
We’ve long grown     Passed the age of grief. We now know     All the things we need. Long I sat beneath a withered tree Contemplating why in mid summer, The leaves hadn’t been reborn in spring And they laid scattered torn asunder. Had this simple natural marvel Given up on the chance to live? Was it left bashful and startled By something our world had did? Are we to act in...

He's Never Known
Long have I seen flames scorch and good scorned I’ve come across time and space to simply warn You progress a path where light and dark converge The line is very thin and at times can even blur Watch as you walk, pay mind to all that you see Lest you fall into despair, and even misery Travel with the utmost care don’t rely visually The eyes can be possessed by illusionist trickery ...

Unprotected Agents of Self
[Neena] A wine glass, full to the brim, A nuclear chain reaction. Her mind similar to the explosion,  of complete and utter disaster.  For she had made many promises, of love, trust and faith. Yet it all came to a crashing halt, that one specific date.  She would fight against a storm,  whether it be snow, rain, or hail. Yet the one thing she could not protect you from Was your own mistakes.  ...

The Vow
If there comes the largest tsunamis Or if the earth should shatter and shake If volcanoes should spout and explode Or if there be tornadoes and hurricanes If the heavens struck lightning from above Or the hells release their flames below Swarms of demons and angels conspire If the devil and God himself should show I have a few words that I must say One important message you should know ...

The Drop
Tired yet unable to sleep, as time goes by from days to weeks. A hush has fallen upon her face, her minds condition is in a grim state.  Further and further she begins to slip, at the point of losing her well placed grip, on the reality she had so carefully created, her view slowly becoming sedated.  How much longer will she last? It’s the only thing she seems to ask. As all those around...

Routine
You can tell that earth is a living hell When your home feels like a prison cell The steel that locks you inside the cage Are bars of routine, habit, and age Brush my teeth, dress after I wake Work, eat, sleep - There’s no escape I crawl, I walk, I jog, I run This day ends onto yet another one Life is not a mirror for our coming death In which day in and out we lie in beds Of dirt and...

So Full Of It
Confident and full of it, anyone ever tell you you’re full of shit? There you go speaking once more, clearly you don’t realize you’re a bore.  Take a hint, turn away; you’re not considered adequate. Nor here nor there, not anywhere, so don’t just stand there stupidly and stare. A mess, your dress, that face I can’t stand. I laugh at those who surround you as...

Morality
If there was no price for humans to pay Would morality exist beyond this day? Place to Reside
[Neena] I walk this path of trees and leaves, in the attempts to hide my heart from thieves. Yet there you stood assured and strong, placing it gently into your palm. Captivated from there on out,  like a child I felt the need to jump and shout. No longer did I feel the need to reside, in those small hallways within my mind. Each section divided by doors, each door closer towards my beating...
