Winter’s Touch

The summer sun has come and gone,
The Autumn leaves fallen, undone.
Leaving in it’s place the sharp grace,
Of Winter’s endlessly chilling embrace.

The frigid winds turn red many faces
Snow falls freely on frozen pavement
The sidewalks are barren and vacant
The cities turn into white wastelands

Impatient to return to his bed
A pedestrian refuses to turn his head
Missing the entrancing sight
Of snow flakes surrounding a luminous light

They waltz with the sway of subtle breeze;
Dance around bushes and withered trees
They glow in the dark, But shine in the light
In swarms they stay while all synced in flight

His snow clad feet upon the door step
Home, the destination is finally met
A feather like touch upon his face
Left from one of many snowflakes
