Little Things

Abandoned umbrella,
You got stuck in the rain.
Splashed by a bus,
Your new coat is stained.

You rush for cover,
Under a near by awning:
Cursing the weather,
And waking this morning.

You reach in your pocket,
And what did you see?
A piece of paper,
A note scribbled from me.

Your furrowed brows,
They’ve gone away.
“I Love You” it read,
And so did your face.
